Softball split its doubleheader against Manhattan on Wednesday. The Lions (11-26, 4-8 Ivy) beat Manhattan (18-14) 3-0 in the first game behind a thrilling three-run homer from first-year infielder Jordan Townsend that ended the game in the bottom of the tenth.

After falling to Stony Brook in their midweek game this past Wednesday, the Lions will commence the first leg of a ten-game road trip against two Ivy opponents, Harvard and Dartmouth.  “This is by far going to be our toughest weekend,” head coach Jennifer Teague said.

Softball will take on Stony Brook in a doubleheader on Wednesday. Despite falling to the Seawolves (12-17-1) 7-3 in the FAU Invitational earlier this season, the Light Blue (7-19, 2-2 Ivy) hope to take the advantage in the season series in its upcoming games.

Columbia (3-6) finished 1-3 on the weekend at the District Invite, highlighted by a 9-1 romp over Robert Morris (3-14) on Saturday. Junior Tonia Wu starred in the lone victory throwing five innings and surrendering just one unearned run.
