MoHi's creepiest horrors and scarediest cowards revealed...

Earlier this week, Spectrum called on you, the people, to take valuable, procrastinated time out of your days to appreciate MoHi horrors. Since Halloweekend is finally here, I thought it would be fun to have you all scare yourselves (and me) by sending us the spoookiest things in MoHi.

This concept was inspired by Spectrum deputy editor, Veronica, a.k.a. the notorious VGT. To be quite honest, she probably sent me the spookiest thing in this entire article. Apparently, you guys are very easily spooked, because for some submissions I was like “bruh?”
Runner Up #3*: Juliana Kaplan, BC ’19

* We’re starting at runner up #3 this time because this was one of the least lame thing sent to us, no offense to everyone else.

I don’t know how you’re able to sleep in your room or even walk past this, tbh. It’s so spooky. I’m legitimately shaking just looking at this!

Ok, to be quite honest, the first time I saw this I was taken aback, but it’s been awhile since the decorations went up, Hailey. The monster may be spooky, but unlike the forever creepy MoWilly decor, we’ve all been desensitized to this already!

I’m sure reading that thing is pretty terrifying, Lizzy (can I call you Lizzy? Too bad. Imma do it anyway), but you signed up for this. A semester filled with good ol’ PrezBo calling your name during registration—there’s no turning back now!

Congrats, Ella! You win the free goodie bag filled with candy of your choice! Is it because this is super spooky? Not really. I just really like the aesthetics. I’m an aesthetics hoe, and it worked in your favor this time.

Thanks to everyone who submitted! You definitely tried, just not hard enough.

Spectrum holds a bunch of contests. Some give you candy, some give fame and glory. Why not join in on the fun? Be sure to check out best animals on campus and best autumn aesthetic.
Huber Gonzalez is a Columbia College sophomore and Spectrum’s associate editor in charge of user-generated content. He loves scary things and thinks that Spectrum’s readers are extremely fearful. Reach him at to laugh at these super duper spooky images.
