Akua Obeng-Akrofi: Columbia's only current student-athlete in Rio

Achievements: 3rd in the 400-meter dash at the 2016 Outdoor Ivy League Championships; 2nd in the 400-meters at the IC4A/ECAC Championships; holder of second-best time in school history in the 400-meters at the NCAA East Preliminary Round this spring, clocking a 53:14.

Olympic Event: 4x100-meter relay. Team Ghana.
