On Monday evening, Barnard President Debora Spar delivered the opening remarks at an event, titled “Race, Violence, Resistance: From Gaza to Ferguson,” hosted by Columbia Students for Justice in Palestine. Curiously, Spar mentioned neither Gaza nor Ferguson in her remarks.
