The new, more spacious buses are already being phased into the route. While the new buses will save the city money, they will also increase waiting times for commuters.

Last week, I had a doctor’s appointment on 66th Street. It should have taken me only about 15 minutes to get there—except for the fact that it was East 66th. A subway ride, bus transfer delayed by traffic, and a 10-block walk later, I was finally in the waiting room 35 minutes after I had passed...
